K-6 School Supplies List


LCSD1 school supply lists are standardized for all K-6 elementary schools and students:

  • 1 box of #2 pencils (24 count)
  • 2 boxes of tissue
  • 4 glue sticks
  • 1 box of fat washable markers (10 count)
  • 1 box of crayons
  • 2 large erasers
  • 1 backpack

Because of the generosity of our community, school supplies are available to any elementary, junior high, high school and college-bound student who needs them. If you know of a student who needs school supplies, please contact the LCSD1 Community Relations office at 307-771-2192 or Needs, Inc., at 307-632-4132. (Income and residency guidelines apply.)

Support Operation Back To School and help provide school supplies to elementary, junior high, high school and college-bound students in need in Laramie County. If you are able to provide financial support, we recommend mailing a check to:

Annual Report Cards to the Community

The District Report Card is part of LCSD1's annual accreditation report to the Wyoming Department of Education, the LCSD1 Board of Trustees, and the Cheyenne community. The report is published annually each fall covering every facet of the district and a brief history of the past school year. Public Schools' Chronicle

The Public Schools' Chronicle is published five times a year and direct mailed to every home and business in the Cheyenne area, providing the community with a window into the classroom featuring student learning activities, in addition to timely informational articles for parents and stakeholders. LCSD1 Board seeks applications for vacancy


The Laramie County School District 1 Board is seeking applications for a vacancy as Trustee Mark Klaassen notified the Board Chairman and Superintendent of Schools of his resignation on Nov. 21.

Klaassen’s resignation is effective Nov. 21 after which trustees have 30 days to appoint his replacement.

Potential candidates shall complete the LCSD1 Board of Trustee application and verification of eligibility form (both below) and return them to the Superintendent’s office, 2810 House Ave., Room 130, or email them to darlene.davis@laramie1.org no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11.

Application forms and information are available below. Hard copies may be picked up at the Superintendent’s office.

The Board of Trustees will interview candidates on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m., in the Storey Gymnasium Boardroom, 2811 House Ave. Each candidate will be asked the same questions and allotted the same amount of time to respond.

The LCSD1 Board of Trustees will vote to select Klaassen’s replacement during a public meeting on Monday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. The replacement will be sworn in at that meeting and will serve until November 30, 2018.
