LCSD1 to offer tutoring sessions at East, Central and South high schools during winter break

Seventh- through 12th-grade Laramie County School District 1 students will have a chance to catch up on school work before the end of semester. Free tutoring sessions will be available during winter break at Central, East and South high schools. Regardless of attendance area, students may attend sessions at any of the schools

Central High, 5500 Education Drive

The Chief Morning Star Academy will be open from 8–11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 28. (Lunch is not provided.) Any secondary school student wishing to complete make-up assignments, including tests and/or assessments, is welcome. Certified English, math, science and social studies teachers will be available to assist with specific content areas. Students should enter through the north doors.

East High, 2800 E. Pershing Blvd., Cafeteria and Room 347

Tutoring will be offered for any secondary student from 9–noon, Thursday, Dec. 21, Friday, Dec. 22, and Wednesday, Dec. 27, Thursday, Dec. 28 and Friday, Dec. 29. Sessions will be held in the cafeteria and the TBird Academy, Room 347. Students should enter and leave the building through the front doors and are required to bring their own work and textbooks to the sessions. English, math and science tutors will be available. Students may attend to work on any subject.

South High, 1213 W. Allison Road

From 9 a.m.–noon, Thursday, Dec. 28 and Friday, Dec. 29, in the library tutoring will be provided in all core areas.
