LCSD1 Mathematics Vision

Laramie County School District 1 will develop mathematically confident students who are empowered to make sense of their world now and in the future. Students will learn from effective and confident teachers who provide a learning environment that fosters opportunities for students to: 

  • persevere in classrooms where productive struggle is valued and seen as a growth opportunity

  • experience meaningful tasks that build procedural fluency from conceptual understanding

  • engage and reflect in their learning process to responsibly advocate for themselves

  • demonstrate critical thinking by engaging in problem-solving, questioning, and collaborative discourse
