Sept. 22—David Snyder

David Snyder, an eighth grade student at Carey Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Sept. 22.
Snyder was selected by the committee for his commitment to academic excellence, leadership skills, and willingness to help his peers.
According to his nomination form, he makes the learning environment a better place. He maintains a 4.0 GPA and his favorite subjects are geography and math.
Snyder plays cello in Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the after-school weights club. Outside of school, he enjoys Kempo-Karate, traveling and reading books.
Snyder selected Madison Marquer as his favorite teacher because of Marquer’s energetic teaching style, which makes U.S. history enjoyable and engaging.
