The Laramie County School District #1 (LCSD#1) Board annually authorizes a recreation mill levy which generates funding for the Cheyenne Community Recreation District Board (Rec Board) that can be used to improve and enhance recreational opportunities for youth in our community. The Rec Board has an interest in equalizing recreational opportunities throughout the community, addressing safety issues and enhancing the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County projects. (According to the Rec Board By-Laws, outside governmental agencies are limited to receiving 15% of the annual mill levy, however; the Rec Board is not obligated to provide funding.)

Project applications are due on or before June 15th at 4:30 PM to the LCSD#1 Planning and Construction Office (Administration Building Room 205). If June 15th falls on a weekend, the deadline moves to the preceding Friday. Bylaws for the CCRD - 1/24/2024
