Nov. 10—Bailey Wasson

Bailey Wasson, an eighth grade student at Carey Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 10.
Wasson was selected for being a shining star at Carey. She is known for her quiet leadership, strong work ethic, excellent attendance and kindness toward others.
“She comes to school ready to learn and willing to help those around her find success,” Carey Principal Matt Schlagel said.
Wasson maintains high grades and is involved in school activities, including volleyball and orchestra. She also participates in club volleyball outside of school.
Wasson selected Ella Parish as her favorite teacher because of her engaging teaching style. “Parish explains lessons using textbooks, technology and conversation to ensure the lessons make sense,” Wasson said. “She is always willing to help us and get to know her students.”
