May 25—Clayton Fodor

Clayton Fodor, a junior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 25.
Fodor, who has been part of the LCSD1 community since kindergarten, was selected for exemplifying excellence in and out of the classroom. He maintains a high GPA while enrolled in a rigorous course load of college-level classes.
Fodor serves as Central High’s Student Body Vice President and has been elected to serve as Student Body President for the 2026–2027 school year, with his leadership extending throughout the school community.
“He has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement while maintaining an impressive commitment to extracurricular involvement,” Central counselor Brittany Marlow said.
Fodor’s involvement includes serving as a student ambassador for Central’s partnership with Wyoming Indian High School, chairing the school’s Make-A-Wish fundraising initiative, and representing the Wyoming Student Council Association’s southeast region.
Fodor earned first place at the state level in DECA in both Business Finance Series and Financial Services Team Decision Making. He also represented Central at the We the People national competition.
He was recently elected drum major for the school band for next year and has performed in multiple roles in Central’s school musicals.
Fodor selected Joey Barlow because he has taught math in a way that makes it easier to understand. Barlow notes that Fodor is already earning college credit in mathematics as a junior.
