March 16—Chloe Chandler

Chloe Chandler, a seventh grade student at McCormick Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 16.

Chandler was selected for her academic achievement and the example she sets for others. Teachers describe her as a hardworking, kind and motivated student who brings a positive attitude to class each day and provides encouragement to those around her.

Chandler maintains high grades in all her classes, including four honors courses. She plays clarinet in band and is an active member of Student Senate. She also plays volleyball for McCormick and BEAST.

“She carries herself with maturity and integrity in all that she does,” one teacher said. Another teacher added, “She brings her best every day and greets each challenge with a grin and a can-do attitude.”

Outside of school, Chandler enjoys crocheting, drawing, painting* and baking. She recently performed in Snow White for the Cheyenne Little Theatre.

Chandler selected Heather Boulger as her favorite teacher because Boulger is kind, provides clear instructions, and creates engaging lessons with hands-on activities while encouraging students to do their best.
