The LCSD1 Trades Academy is the premier pathway for students to enter skilled trades after graduation. Throughout the program, students connect with various industry professionals ranging from specialists in plumbing to nuclear energy.

Espinoza spoke to the students about the experience of being an entrepreneur and business owner. Then the students participated in a hands-on learning opportunity involving the basics of a restroom renovation. Students deconstructed a wall, and they learned about tile replacement, wall layers, asbestos, safety, and more.
