A diverse group of students and adults pose for a photo in front of large blue supercomputer cabinets.Computer programming 2 classes at East recently toured the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) supercomputing facility.

Students saw the entire facility, learned about high-performance computing, and explored the closed-loop cooling systems that keep the supercomputers running efficiently. This allowed the students to connect what they learn in class to real-world technology, data centers, networking and programming applications.
