ATHLETICS FCA Power Camp: Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its annual Laramie County Power Camp from 8 a.m. to noon July 6-9 at Coyote Ridge Elementary, 5515 Powderhouse Road.

The camp is designed for children in third through sixth grades. The cost is $50 for the first camper from a family. There is no cost for additional campers from the same family.

The registration fee includes T-shirt, Bible, daily snack and lunch on the final day.

Campers will participate in a variety of sports, including football or volleyball, soccer and basketball. There also will be other fun activities and a daily spiritual development theme.

Overtime PE camps: Overtime PE will hold three camps for children 5-14. The camps are conducted by Laramie County School District 1 teacher and marathoner Adam Cordell.

The Playmakers camp is for children 5-8 years old. It runs from 9-11 a.m., June 29-July 3 at Sunrise Elementary, The camp is built around the foundational movement skills of running, jumping, throwing, catching and cooperative games. The cost is $99 per child.

The Total Athlete Camp is for children 8-12 years old. It runs 9-11 a.m., July 6-10 at Sunrise Elementary.

It includes competitive challenges, fitness circuits, team sports and skill-building. Participants will be pushed to work hard, compete with sportsmanship and discover what they’re capable of.

The Endurance Lab for 9-14-yearolds will be 9-11 a.m., July 13-17 at Sunrise Elementary.

It is a dedicated running camp focused on form, pacing, endurance and race strategy. Athletes will build a foundation for running through fun games and activities that disguise fitness as play.

BASEBALL Pitch, hit and run: Cheyenne’s pitch, hit and run competition will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Dutcher Baseball Complex, 4212 Converse Ave.

The competition is for girls and boys 7-14 years old. Participants will be divided into four age groups.

Post 6 kids clinic: The Cheyenne Post 6 baseball program will hold its annual youth clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 30, at Powers Field.

The cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. The first 100 registrants get a T-shirt. All participants will get lunch after the clinic and admission to the Sixers doubleheader that night. They will be introduced with players prior to the 5 p.m. game.

BASKETBALL Adult fall league: Registration for the city of Cheyenne’s adult fall basketball league ends July 16.

The cost is $575 per team or $60 per individual.

The season starts Sept. 24 and ends in October.

B&GC and UW camp: Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Wyoming and the University of Wyoming are teaming up for their fifth annual basketball camp.

The camp runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the city of Cheyenne’s BEAST Facility, 2900 Sunflower Road.

The cost is $25 for active Boys & Girls Club members and $50 for nonmembers.

Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to learn from UW women’s and men’s basketball players. Each camper who registers will be entered into a raffle to win tickets to a UW game.

CHEERLEADING Central camp: The Cheyenne Central spirit program will host its annual youth camp for children 3-12 years old from 8-10 a.m. Monday, July 27 through Wednesday, July 29 in the Central commons.

The cost is $75 per participant, and includes a T-shirt and daily snack. Athletes will learn stunts, a cheer and dance skills. They will perform at the end of the clinic at 10 a.m. July 29.

Participants should wear athletic clothes and tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

FOOTBALL

Central camp: The Cheyenne Central football program will hold its annual youth football camp July 27- 29.

The camp is for athletes entering third-eighth grades. It will be conducted by Central coaches and players.

Fall flag league: Registration for Learn to Play Sports’ youth fall recreational flag football league ends July 31.

The league is for girls and boys ages 3-13. The league runs Aug. 8-Sept. 19. The cost is $50-85. The price depends on age group.

Youth tackle officials: The city of Cheyenne will hold officials training for the 2026 youth tackle football league 6-8 p.m. Aug. 3 at the BEAST facility, 2900 Sunflower Road.

The training is free and covers proper mechanics, positioning and how to approach the game. Officials earn $45 per game.

SOCCER Cheyenne Soccer Club rec leagues: Registration for the Cheyenne Soccer Club’s 2026-27 recreational seasons ends Aug. 1.

Practices for the under-6 through under-19 divisions may start the week of Aug. 30, with the first game of the fall season being played Sept. 12. The last games are slated for Oct. 31.

• Under-4 Stingers: Training every Monday evening starting Sept. 14. The cost for the full season (both fall and spring) is $105. Fallonly registration is $75. 
• Under-6 co-ed: The registration fee is $146 for the full season or $126 for only the fall. 
• Under-8 girls or boys: The registration fee is $146 for the full season and $126 for only the fall. 
• Under-10 and -12 girls or boys: The registration fee is $178 for the full season and $137 for fall only. 
• Under-14 co-ed: The fee is $182 for the full season or $141 for only the fall. 
• Under-19/high school: This age group only plays on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the fall. The registration fee is $141.

LCCC high school girls camp:

The Laramie County Community College women’s soccer team will host a high school girls soccer camp starting at 9 a.m. Friday. The camp at LCCC will include two practices.

SOFTBALL Adult co-ed league: Registration for the city of Cheyenne’s co-ed softball league ends Thursday.

The cost is $400 per team, plus a $20-per-player field use fee. Individual players can register for $60 and will be placed on a team.

The season starts Aug. 3 and runs into September.

TENNIS East youth camp: The Cheyenne East tennis team will hold its annual youth tennis camp from 9 a.m. to noon June Wednesday and Thursday at the tennis courts northwest of East High.

The camp is for children who will be in second through eighth grades during the 2026-27 school year. The cost is $45 per camper.

Players will learn ground strokes, volleying, serving, returning, footwork and game strategy. They also will get a camp T-shirt.

TRACK & FIELD

East Nights: Cheyenne East Track & Field Nights are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Okie Blanchard Sports Complex.

Additional meets will be held June 30, July 7 and July 14.

The meets are for athletes starting as young as 2 years old. Events include discus, shot put, long jump, 50- to 400-meter dashes and the 800-meter run.

Field events start at 4:30 p.m. Track events will start as close to 5:30 p.m. as possible.

VOLLEYBALL 307 Peak grass drop-in play:

The 307 Peak Volleyball Club will host grass volleyball drop-in play every Wednesday in June, weather permitting.

Play runs 6-7:30 p.m. in Saddle Ridge Park in the grassy area near the playground.

Ages 12 and up are welcome.

Adult fall league: Registration for the city of Cheyenne’s women’s and men’s fall volleyball leagues ends July 16.

The cost is $450 per team or $60 per individual.

The season starts Aug. 24 and ends in October.

Eclipse open gyms and evaluations: Eclipse Volleyball Club has set its evaluation and tryout schedule for its 2026-27 teams.

All activities will be at the city of Cheyenne’s BEAST Facility, 2900 Sunflower Road. They are limited to 40 players per session. There is a $5 fee per session to cover the cost of gym rental.

An open gym for ninth through 12th graders will be held 7:158:45 p.m. June 24. Player evaluation for those age groups will be 5:157:15 p.m. July 8 and 9.

Open gyms for sixth through eighth graders will be held 5:156:45 p.m. June 24 and July 8.

The Rocky Mountain Region of USA Volleyball will not allow player evaluations for 14-and-under teams until Aug. 14. Information about player evaluations for that age group will be released later.

Eclipse Queens of the Grass:

Eclipse Volleyball Club is introducing its Queens of the Grass summer series July 1 and July 15 at Lions Park.

All players entering grades 4-12 are welcome. Teams will be broken into three divisions. Players who don’t have partners can register as free agents.

Warm-ups and skill drills start at 5:30 p.m. Matches start at 6:30 p.m. Teams will play three matches per night.

LCCC Nike camps: The Laramie County Community College volleyball program — in conjunction with Nike — will host two camps in July.

The cost for the extended day camps is $379 plus processing. The overnight camp option is $455 plus processing. Lunch and dinner will be provided to extended day campers. All meals will be provided for overnight campers, who also will stay in the LCCC dorms.

An all-skills camp for girls 10-14 years old is July 6-8. Check in is 12-1 July 6. Camp runs 1-8 p.m. July 6, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 7 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8.

The all-skills camp focuses on fundamental skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.

The advanced camp for girls 13-18 years old is July 9-11. Check in is 12-1 July 6. Camp runs 1-8 p.m. July 9, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 10 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 11.

The advanced camp is intended for club players and high-schoolers with two or more years competitive experience. It features intense and challenging training.

Reign evaluations and tryouts: Reign Volleyball Club has set its evaluation and tryout schedule for its 2026-27 teams. Tryouts are closed to spectators.

Open evaluations for 17-and-under and 18-and-under players will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 6 and July 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic School, 2200 O’Neil Ave.

Tryouts for those teams will be held 9-11 a.m. July 11 at the city of Cheyenne’s BEAST Facility, 2900 Sunflower Road. Registration can be completed at tinyurl.com/Reign-17-18-tryouts-26.

Open evaluations for 13-and-under and 12-and-under players will be held 6-8 p.m. Aug. 18 and Aug. 20 at St. Mary’s Catholic School, 2200 O’Neil Ave.

There is a $10 gym fee per evaluation and tryout. Players who attend both evaluations will be charged $15. The fee to attend both evaluations and tryouts is $20.

Athletes should arrive 10-15 minutes prior to their tryout times to prepare for play.

Tr1be clinic: The Tr1be volleyball club will hold a summer clinic 6-8 p.m. July 28 and 29 at the BEAST facility, 2900 Sunflower Road.

The cost is $65 and includes a T-shirt. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Tr1be tryouts: The Tr1be volleyball club will hold tryouts for its under-17 and under-18 teams 6-8 p.m. today at 1632 Little Star Dr. The AAU team is limited to students in Laramie County School District 1’s Central triad.

Whirlwind camps: The Wyoming Whirlwind volleyball club will hold defense and offense camps in July at the Whirlwind Storm Center, 2507 E. Seventh St., Unit 2.

The camps are intended for 12-15-year-olds with volleyball experience. They are capped at 20 players per camp.

The defense camp will be 6-8:30 p.m., July 9 and 10. Players will learn proper passing, defense strategy, setting and back row hitting. Registration can be completed at tinyurl.com/WWVC-defensecamp-26.

The offense camp will be 6-8:30 p.m., July 15 and 16. Players will learn attack approach and footwork, hitting mechanics, shot selection, setting, offensive strategy and game IQ, transition and tempo. Registration can be completed at tinyurl.com/WWVC-offense-camp-26.

Whirlwind open gyms: The Wyoming Whirlwind volleyball club will hold free open gyms for all Cheyenne athletes of all skill levels July 17, July 24 and Aug. 7. They will be at the Whirlwind Storm Center, 2507 E. Seventh St., Unit 2.

Open gym for 10-13-year-olds will be 5:30-7 p.m. The 14-17-yearolds will play from 7-8:30 p.m.

WRESTLING Camden Glynn intensive camp:

Camden County High from Kingsland, Georgia, will conduct a two day intensive wrestling camp July 5-7 at Cheyenne South High, 1213 W. Allison Road.

Camden County has won 12 consecutive Georgia Class 7A state championships. The Wildcats also have won 12 consecutive dual state titles and 13 overall. Class 7A is Georgia’s largest classification.

Glynn Academy from Brunswick, Georgia, also will help conduct the camp.

The camp is for wrestlers 8 and older. The cost is $65 per wrestler and $55 per sibling. Checks and cash are accepted. No refunds will be given. Wrestlers registered by June 22 get a camp shirt.

Doors open at 8 a.m. each day. Wrestling runs from 9-11 a.m. and noon-3 p.m., with a break for lunch.

Mad Max camp: Former University of Iowa wrestler Max Murin will host the Mad Max camp Friday at Storey Gym, 2811 House Ave.

The camp is for athletes starting at 6 years of age. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a lunch break from 12-1 p.m., but lunch will not be provided to athletes.

The cost is $50 per wrestler. Registration closes June 8 and can be completed at tinyurl.com/Mad-Max-Camp-26.
